Since you've been holed up at home for the past couple of weeks, you'll know that the most activity you would have gotten is sauntering from the couch to the kitchen to the bedroom to the bathroom. If you're lucky, you might find yourself taking a breather in the living room or balcony. The bottom line is you probably aren't getting much physical activity. If you wear a fitness tracker of some make, you might even feel a twinge of guilt when it sends a notification to take a walk and reach your step goal. Fitness fanatics especially may find this a difficult time to lethargically sit within the 4 walls all day long. Fortunately, there is something you can do.

Creative Ways To Get More Physical Activity When At Home
Follow these tips to get more physical activity in your life when you're quarantined at home.
1. Workout Indoors
Like Bollywood celebrities Malaika Arora and Katrina Kaif, even if you can't head to the gym, don't give up just yet. Workout indoors in a vacant space without obstructions like in your living room. Fitness experts suggest exercises like squats, planks, wall sits and sit-ups which don't require equipment.
2. Add In Resistance
For the more passionate who are missing their kettle bells and dumb bells in the gym, there are ways to add more weight and resistance to your workout. Laundry boxes, bottles of water and books are a safe and fairly stable option to pick and lift when working out.
3. Go Online
As mentioned previously, celebrities are sharing their home workouts on their social media pages. Apart from the stars, there are plenty of yoga, strength training and zumba tutorials available for free on Instagram and YouTube.
4. Do Your Chores
If you can't find the time or place for a dedicated workout, remember that your house chores can burn calories too. Sweeping, mopping, dusting, cooking and polishing will keep you on your feet all day and active when you're at it.
