It's no secret that when it comes to fitness, Shilpa Shetty is a frontrunner. From her audio-visual yoga series covering all sorts of different yoga asanas to to her cookbook filled with healthy recipes, Shilpa Shetty is continuously proving that she doesn't take fitness lightly, and is also willing to go the extra mile to help others achieve their fitness goals. But while Shilpa, 42, seems to love any and all activities that promote fitness, yoga seems to be her absolute favourite. Anyone who follows her on Instagram can vouch for that.
Shilpa might have been practising yoga for years now, but off late, she has been able to achieve more and carry out asanas she couldn't do before.
Only yesterday, Shilpa posted a video of herself attempting and succeeding at the Garud Sirsasana. With the video that she posted, she also wrote that it took her years to attempt the Sirsasana or a headstand and now being able to do a more advanced version of it gave her immense pride.
Shilpa also recently posted a picture of herself doing the scorpion pose, an asana that requires immense amount of strength and flexibility. It took Shilpa nearly four months to nail this; we're surprised it didn't take longer given the complexity of this pose.
Shilpa loves yoga so much, that she even started her new year in Dubai by practising the pranayama which literally means 'control of breath'.
She often also posts pictures titled 'ShilpaKaMantra' the aim of which is to spread positivity through yoga.
Well, all these videos and pictures of Shilpa Shetty practising yoga have definitely inspired us to try our hand at it too, especially given just how fit Shilpa looks. Whether or not we can become yoga pros like Shilpa anytime soon is another question altogether.
