1. A Comfortable Couch
Whether or not you've done up your living room yet, complete with a television and coffee table, don't forget to buy a comfortable couch first. On days when you come back home tired from work, that's probably the place you're going to sit back and relax, and maybe even eat your dinner at while you watch an episode of your favourite show. Even if you compromise on a few things here and there, this is not something you want to compromise on. Buy yourself a comfortable couch that is also pleasing to your eyes, and then plan the rest of the room around it.
2. A Microwave
So basic, and yet, so essential. A microwave is something you're going to come down to buying eventually, anyway. But in the first few days of moving in to a new space, your kitchen may or may not be completely functional. You know what will really come in handy in these days? Yes, a microwave. So don't wait around to buy your microwave with the rest of your kitchen appliances. This is something you should have with you when you move in.
3. A Bedside Lamp
If you're moving into a place, you probably have at least a provisional bed in place. It might be your home now, but it'll still take some time getting completely familiar with the place. When you want to use the washroom at night, or walk to the kitchen for a midnight treat, you're going to need a light you can immediately reach out to without having to look for a switch in the dark. A bedside lamp is, therefore, the solution to a lot of unavoidable night time movement in your new house.
