When you get the invite to the party, acknowledge it. Yes, it's a house party, and the chances are high that you aren't expected to get anything along. But it's just good manners to ask the host if you can get something that is needed for the party or if any help is required or if something needs to be picked up on the way. Well, this is just basic. Their house, their rules. Try not getting sloshed and end up breaking things or have a total disregard for the person's comfort level.
