There's almost nothing as fulfilling as a day when your to-do list is completely checked off. But to ensure that even happens, your productiveness needs to be fired up throughout. Often enough, the day can seem to pass by without having done much, which can leave you unfulfilled and frustrated. To avoid that from happening, it's important to up your productivity before the day goes by. These 4 ways are helpful to help boost productivity and tick those tasks off your list.
1. Cut Off
Distractions are the death of productivity and the only way to get rid of them is by nipping them in the bud. When you have a task at hand, take yourself out of conversations and shut off your social media. This will allow you to completely focus on what's in front of you without notifications buzzing on your phone.
2. Prioritize What's First
When making your to-do list, write in tasks in order of most urgent and important to least time-sensitive. Don't try to juggle between them and multi-task as you can often end up making mistakes when doing so. Focus on one task at a time and work your way from most urgent and timely downwards through your list.
3. Schedule Your Day
While improvising may work on sudden occasions, scheduling and planning your day the night before can go a long way. Right from minor tasks like next day's breakfast to bigger ones like your office presentation, work out the finer details like how you will get in done and what you need to do so. This will make the entire process much smoother.
4. Say No
Comments
It may sound rude to you but it's incredibly important to understand when you say no. More often than not, you get pulled into a meeting or task you could do without just because you didn't want to disappoint someone by saying no. Like that, you end up taking on more than what you need to do. When necessary, learn to politely say no because you are allowed to.
