Whether you've seen the hit Marvel flick Black Panther or not yet, you've probably heard the name Michael B Jordan by now. And if you haven't, you now will. No, he isn't the basketball legend. He's the 31-year-old American actor who has shot to fame playing antagonist Erik Killmonger in Black Panther (after his breakout role in Creed, of course) and is currently, the Internet's newest heartthrob. From his on-screen persona to his off-screen hobbies, here are six reasons why the world can't get enough of Michael B Jordan.
1. His Talent Is Remarkable
Long before his lead role in Black Panther, Michael was already proving to Hollywood that he had the necessary acting chops. After a smattering of film roles and a regular appearance on TV's All My Children, Michael really found his footing in Fruitvale Station as a gunshot victim, for which he received much praise. This was followed by his role as Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed, in 2015's spin-off to the Rocky films, Creed. The movie received both critical acclaim and a top berth at the box office. Now, as the captivating villain Erik Killmonger, you can see why he has rightly earned his spot in Hollywood.
2. He Doesn't Quiet Down
When a Twitter user tried to tease Michael about his love for anime and family, he wouldn't stand for it. He playfully replied and got right back at him while winning the hearts of many more, non-anime fans included.

4. He's Easy On The Eyes
Along with being strikingly handsome; for the lack of a better word, Michael B Jordan is beefcake. If his latest on-screen appearance in Black Panther wasn't enough to prove that, his previous role in Creed will. For his turn as heavyweight boxer Adonis Johnson, Michael trained laboriously for a whole year and opted against using a stunt double for the boxing scenes, as reported by Global Grind. It all paid off though when he looked incredibly ripped in the multitude of shirtless scenes in the boxing flick, which he performed himself.
5. He's Got A Heart Of Gold
Further cementing his place as the internet's heartthrob, Michael is highly involved in charity. As his mother suffers from Lupus, it's a cause that hits home for the star. This has led him to become an Lupus L.A ambassador and even host benefits for the disease before, according to Hollywood Reporter.
6. He Gives Credit Where It's Due
Michael likes seeing his friends and family doing well in their respective fields and his many messages of love and support throughout his profile are proof enough. He's also a big supporter of artists of colour who are making their way through the ranks which he seconds through his posts.
