Working from home ensures you complete your daily tasks regardless of your location and allows for more flexibility in your schedule. Productivity Tips To Follow When Working From Home

Here's how you can stay productive and work smoothly even when you're located outside your office.

1. Schedule Your Day

Working from home doesn't translate to doing anything as per your whims and fancies without first completing your work. It most definitely isn't an excuse to sleep in after a late night or take a mid-day nap. Stick to your regular timings to streamline the day as you would when you're in office.

2. Groom Well

Avoiding working in your pajamas is one of the top tips anyone can give you when hustling from home. No one's asking you to wear a blazer and trousers but changing out of your night wear is the least you can do to set your frame of mind for the day. If you have video conference calls with your colleagues, tying your hair in a neat ponytail with a swipe of lip balm won't hurt either.

3. Deal With Distractions

You're bound to be tempted to catch up with your roommate, take a quick snooze after lunch and even potter around with far too many cups of tea. Find a quiet spot where you won't be caught in any discussions and limit your breaks to the same number you take in office.

4. Set Boundaries

With boundaries between home and office being fudged, you might even find yourself working early in the morning or late into the night. Avoid this by cutting down on distractions and stopping procrastinating during your regular work time in the day. Once you are done with work, turn off your devices and steer clear of them for the rest of the day. That way you can stick to your regular schedule.

5. Personalise Your Station

One of the greatest advantages of working from home is cutting out your commute and noisy colleagues. You have the liberty of personalising your work station so find a comfortable spot where you can sit through the day. Take a quick walk around your home every few hours to prevent getting stuck all day. Play soft music that could help with concentration which you cannot do at office. Use the setup to your advantage to efficiently complete your work on time and enjoy the rest of your day.
