The actress, in a video from Vogue, revealed that contrary to moving the lipstick across her mouth, she moves her lips instead. The actress quotes "moving my hands across her mouth is way more tedious than moving the lips." She used her favourite nude pink shade Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury, which she also wore on her wedding day, “because that is how obsessed” she is with that lip colour.

The controversy around her lipstick goes far beyond her application style though.
