The MET Gala 2022 theme was "In America: An Anthology Of Fashion" with a dress code of "Gilded Glamour" which represents opulent touches of the Gilded age. While the MET red carpet saw plenty of feathers, corsets and ruffles, some celebrities spared nothing and no one to take the dress code to its maximum. Cara Delevingne was one of them. The supermodel first walked down the red carpet wearing a red cropped jacket along with tailored red trousers. She paired it with red platform pumps and carried a decorative stick in her hand. But in a matter of time, she shed her coat and showcased the extend of the Gilded Glamour theme with the second part of her look.
Removing her jacket, Cara revealed her neck, shoulders, arms and chest completely slathered in gold body paint. Over her bust was a set of structured gold pasties as the only item of clothing on her torso. Cara further accessorized her chest with a body chain extending from her neck to her waist.
Adding to the metallic finish of this outfit, Cara wore sparkling gold embellished eyeliner with full, dark brows and a glossy neutral lip. With highlighted skin, she wore her blonde hair in loose curls. A makeup look turned into a red carpet ensemble? Only Cara could pull off a look as daring as this and on the MET Gala red carpet no less.
