Renowned luxury brand Christian Dior has built a global reputation for its exquisite handbags, clothing, fragrances, and beauty products. The latest addition to their offerings is their Baby Dior infant skincare line, which they term as "complete skincare line for little ones." According to a People report, the newly launched collection is a modern take on the brand's original infant perfume line from 1970, now presented as a four-piece collection.
The lineup includes a scented water named "Bonne Étoile," available in pastel pink or mint green bottles and priced at $230, which is approximately Rs 19,000. This scented water features notes of pear, wild rose, and white musk. The collection showcases Le Lait Très Tendre, a pear-scented moisturiser for the face and body, retailing at $115 or approximately Rs 9,000. La Mousse Très Fondante, a $95 cleaning foam for the face, body, and hair, promises to transform baby's bath time into a precious ritual and when converted, is approximately Rs 7,000. Completing the set is L'eau Très Fraîche, a $95 cleaning water composed of 98% natural-origin ingredients which is infused with mallow flower extract and is also approximately Rs 7,000.
In a conversation with Women's Wear Daily (WWD), Francis Kurkdjian, the perfume creation director at Dior, expressed his admiration for the previous Baby Dior product line. He mentioned, "When I joined Dior in October 2022, one of the projects I had in mind was revisiting Baby Dior." Kurkdjian explained that Christian Dior often reminisced about his joyful childhood, inspiring the revival of the discontinued scent and baby care line as a tribute.
Following discussions with Baby Dior's artistic director Cordelia de Castellane, the two found a shared vision for rejuvenating the collection. "We immediately discussed... working together to build back this universe," Kurkdjian stated, noting that "Baby Dior was born that day."
The Baby Dior products are now accessible for purchase online, at select Baby Dior, and Parfums Christian Dior boutiques.
