Ponniyin Selvan 2 by Mani Ratnam is scheduled to release this April 2023 and even though that's an entire month away, the anticipation for it cannot be contained. Yesterday, the PS-2 movie trailer was launched in Chennai and saw the crew and cast in attendance. Though they looked absolutely spectacular at the event, it was their looks in the movie trailer that were hard to take our eyes off. The Ponniyin Selvan 2 saga continues right where it left off and the costumes, from styling to beauty, are rife with references to the era in which it is based. While Sobhita is seen in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment in the trailer, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha Krishnan get the most screen time. Take a look at their stunning appearances from the PS-2 movie trailer.
Trisha's first look sees her hair pulled back in an updo while being accessorized with gold over her head, neck, shoulders and even her arms.
Her next look too reveals more heaps of gold, but this time she's also in a muted palette of crimson and taupe, with her long hair left loose behind her.

Here's the moment everyone was waiting for; when Aishwarya Rai arrived on the screen. In a green ensemble with glints of gold and a red bindi, she sure does look magnificent.
Trisha's very tall hairstyle also found a place in the trailer and like her outfit, it too is accessorized with gold.
It may be a spoiler for some but there's also a glimpse of a much-older Aishwarya in the trailer. We'd be able to spot those eyes even from a line-up in an instant.
Trisha's hairstyle also includes fresh mogra-made gajras wrapped around her updo while gold accents her look.

Aishwarya ends the trailer on a high with a luminescent makeup look highlighting her winged eyes and full pout with a choker necklace, earrings and a maang tikka also visible.
