The Chhaiya Chhaiya star posted a video on her Instagram that showed her in action at the gym with the caption, "#malaikasmondaymotivation". Trust Malaika to give us much-needed Monday motivation to start the week and fight Monday blues just right. Malaika was seen dressed in a pair of high-waisted charcoal grey yoga tights and a sleeveless black sports bra with a cutout at the back. Her streaked hair were secured in a high ponytail ideal for the work out.
In the video, she can be seen doing simple shoulder mobility exercises. According to the caption shared along with the video, doing this exercise for a duration of two minutes everyday will make your shoulder and upper back pain disappear into thin air.
As seen on Malaika, the simple shoulder mobility exercise is practiced in the following steps:
1. One starts by beginning in a standing position.
2. Followed by a slow movement of a stick by bending your arms behind of your head.
3. Next, the stick is slowly rotated back over one's head and moved to the front of the body.
4. This pattern of exercise and movement when repeated makes for what is called the simple shoulder mobility exercise.
The simple shoulder mobility exercise exerts the shoulder, arm, neck and back muscles altogether. They help improve functional fitness, mobility and tightness in the shoulders, recovery from an injury, and boosts the shoulder muscle strength.
So what are we waiting for? Malaika's workout has gotten us pumped to hit the gym and do some mobility exercises ourselves.
