Steeped in effortlessly cool charm with a side of zaniness, it was only a matter of time until Siddhant become the face of Skechers. We adore a style star more than anyone else so we obviously couldn't miss the chance to chat him up. NDTV Swirlster spoke to Siddhant Chaturvedi about his favourite pair of sneakers and how he doesn't follow fashion trends.
NDTV Swirlster: What are your thoughts on street style being a popular fashion trend?
Siddhant Chaturvedi: I think it is the need of the hour. These days everyone is on social media, following influencers and trying to keep up with trends, rather than being true to themselves and just finding their own style. It's time to get comfortable in your own skin rather than trying to replicate whatever is out of your comfort zone. So be comfortable with it rather than go out there and buy or follow things which are not you. Being Street Ready is about being comfortable and at the same time being fashionable, which is what Skechers also has always stood for. The very belief and faith that you are what you are and you are going to define certain things in life, starts off with the shoe that you're wearing. Because you're going to walk in those shoes and be where you want to be. It will define your journey so it's very important to be true to that.
NDTV Swirlster: How does your personality style fit in seamlessly with Skechers?
Siddhant Chaturvedi: Skechers is real, it's easy, it's comfortable, and yet it stands out because it's completely different. Street Ready is always just being true to what you are as a person and not trying to be something else or someone else that you probably followed on Instagram or social media. Defining your style is to be what you are, to be comfortable in your skin and whatever you're wearing. That's how I connect with Skechers.

Siddhant Chaturvedi: David Beckham! He's casual, he's simple and yet he makes a statement.
NDTV Swirlster: Which are your favourite pair of Skechers from the new collection?
Siddhant Chaturvedi: I think the Skechers Monster is my favourite pair. It goes with everything and anything you wear it stands out. It also blends in with any occasion or event. I'm in love with the shape of Skechers Monster. I know it may not sound very romantic but honestly it is lovely. The colour blend, the sole, the texture and I personally love the laces. They have a certain style quotient. The Skechers Monster are very comfortable and you can dance, you can jump, you can walk or you can stand in them but you will still be standing out wearing them.
NDTV Swirlster: What is your favourite outfit to style with sneakers?
Siddhant Chaturvedi: My favourite outfit would be plain white tee and a pair of light blue denims. Anything goes with that!
NDTV Swirlster: What are your thoughts on fashion trends?
Siddhant Chaturvedi: I don't follow trends, I make my own trends. I'm not on board with any trend which is going on because I'm going be what I am and I'm going to stand my ground and walk in the shoes. I want to make it my trend and make a statement with being Street Ready and being yourself, which is the most important trend, and something which people fail to follow.
