Diwali is the glitziest time of the year and in Bollywood, stars add their very own sparkle to the celebration. From the days leading up to Diwali to when it finally arrives, you know these celebrities mean business when they show up. Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's return to the party scene after the birth of their son, Vayu was bound to be a grand one. And what better than Diwali as an excuse to play host? In attendance were many stars but our eyes were glued to Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor when they made a stylish entry at the fancy do. Malaika Arora made the entrance her personal runway as she always does. She picked a bright green co-ord set with a heavily embellished blouse paired with a ruched skirt but there's not a statement she can't make without her magic touch. The statement element came with her dramatic cape jacket in a contrasting tone with a long train and power shoulders. The embroidery and fusion style is signature to designer Anamika Khanna and added some more funk to her boho outfit with a golden choker-earrings set by Misho. A golden potli, heels and smokey eye makeup topped her look in a way only she could have pulled off.
Arjun Kapoor's all-black outfit was there to perfectly complement her bright funky ensemble. Malaika Arora's Diwali 2022 outfit was phenomenal to say the least but we can't help but go back to her recent runway appearance at the Lakme Fashion Week for Limerick's show where her co-ord set complete with a cape was a throwback as the resort version of her Diwali look. Guess she was preparing us for something bigger without even knowing it.
Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor light up Diwali celebrations better than anyone else all as soon as they slip into a fashionable ethnic outfit. Last year, Malaika Arora's colour burst of a saree was how she rang in the celebrations only to prove that no matter the occasion or the place, a saree tops everything.
Diwali 2022 may be over with only some remnants to fall back on but Malaika Arora and her festive fashion will live on for many years.
