To begin with, it was Alia Bhatt's custom Sabyasachi saree that aced the desi princess vibe. The timeless look perfectly resonated with the theme and celebrated the ethnic spirit. The floral saree perfectly captured the theme "Garden of Time” with intricate floral prints in shades of blue, pink, green, and white. The pastel colour palette was an homage to the best of nature, representing the earth, sky, and sea.

Alia Bhatt's hairstyle added a retro vibe to her look, featuring a braided bun adorned with bejewelled headgear. Completing her accessories were dangling earrings and a handful of rings. The star's makeup was kept elegant with pink lips, blushed cheeks, fluttery lashes, and well-defined brows.
Isha Ambani's was yet another stunning ethnic-style entry on the Met Gala red carpet. She radiated sheer elegance in a beautiful gold saree gown that came with a multi-hued floral train. She looked every bit like a 24-carat fashion icon in this Rahul Mishra look. One of the standout features of the gown was the fabric flowing down from the sleeves, which created a graceful cascade that swept the floor as she walked.
American actress and comedian of Indian origin, Mindy Kaling, dazzled in a structured gown by Gaurav Gupta. The gown came with the designer's signature sculpted patterns all over. The dramatic train and structured pattern on the sleeves elevated her look and made her appear like a million bucks. Mindy opted to keep her short hair open.
Entrepreneur Mona Patel, who made her debut at the Met Gala, wore a butterfly-inspired outfit that was nothing short of magical. The dress featured a butterfly-shaped bodice and a long train. The dazzling gown featured a skirt with alternating vertical divisions of blue and patterned hues. The plunging V-neckline added a touch of drama, while the cutouts at the midriff ensured a modern edge to her look. Simone opted to leave her long black tresses open with a partition in the middle.
Guess who made history? None other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who became the first Indian designer to attend the prestigious event. The renowned designer rocked an embroidered cotton duster coat, of course, from his collection. Underneath the coat, he paired a crisp white shirt with ivory pants. Formal shoes, a Sabyasachi belt, and a pair of stylish shades were picked from the accessory aisle.
