King Charles III will officially be crowned as the king. The day has a magnificent and historical significance. The ceremony took place on 6th May 2023. Many gathered at Westminster Abbey to witness history before their eyes while others will have to settle for a live broadcast to watch a glorious display of British pageantry. But the ceremony has got everyone glued up to it in some way or the other. Here's what everyone looked like on this magnificent day.
Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the ceremony wearing coronation robes. It was a life-changing day for the Prince and Princess of Wales. Kate was seen wearing a white Alexander McQueen gown, made of embroidered ivory silk crepe.
Katty Perry opted for a lilac colour palette. She picked a short-sleeved collared top with an A-line skirt, a full-sleeved blouse, and a matching hat to go with her look.
Emma Thompson was a gorgeous attendee in red. She picked a floral blazer with a plain black inner to go with it.
United Kingdom's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy attended the event. While the Prime Minster wore a white shirt with a royal blue tie, a pair of grey pants, and a long black jacket with it, Akshata was seen wearing a short-sleeved powder blue midi dress with intricate floral embroidery.
Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau came in a three-piece deep blue pantsuit while his wife wore a pastel pink midi dress.
Jill Biden attended the coronation ceremony in a blue outfit consisting of a full-sleeved top and a skirt. She matched the look with a pair of blue gloves and wore a pair of nude heels with it.
Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska and Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal attended the coronation wearing a pastel green blazer dress and a three-piece pantsuit respectively.
Lionel Richie was at the event in a black pantsuit.
Prince Harry attended the coronation alone in a deep-hued pantsuit. His wife Meghan Markle skipped the function and stayed back in the USA as the event coincided with their son Prince Archie's birthday today.
Kate Middleton's sister and Princess of Wales, Pippa Middleton chose a pastel yellow blazer dress and hat to attend the ceremony.
Princess Anne, King Charles' sister attended the coronation in a velvet emerald green gown.
Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward and Sophie and Lady Louise Windsor were also seen wearing royal gowns.
