This year, Diwali became extra special for one of our favourite celebrity couples. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had a blast and blew our minds with their festive ensembles. We knew that festive fashion couldn't have gotten any better when we saw Priyanka and Nick's Indian ethnic looks. Priyanka was a ravishing desi girl in a white and beige lehenga. It had all the elements that are needed to grab eyeballs: intricate embroidery, zari work, a blouse with a plunging neckline and full sleeves, and a sheer dupatta. The actress chose floral headgear and traditional jewellery on this day. Priyanka's husband, singer Nick Jonas was equally dressed to the occasion. He wore a set of red kurta and pajamas with floral prints. Nick paired it with a black vest coat and black shoes.
On the day of Mahalakshmi Puja, Priyanka and Nick surprised us with yet another ethnic wear appearance. The actress breezed through the rituals in a yellow Dhakai Jamdani saree with golden and white thread work all over it. She kept it simple with a pair of drop earrings. Nick accompanied Priyanka with a white kurta and pyjama set. The kurta is simple yet elegant because of the intricate embroidery along the neckline.
Priyanka's exquisite Indian wear collection is unrivaled. We definitely wanted to steal her look when we saw her in a white floral lehenga with a mirror work strapless blouse. This was her gorgeous Diwali eve look that we couldn't ignore. The playfulness of the frills on the lehenga balanced out the gravity of the heavyweight blouse and emerald neck choker.
Last Diwali, Priyanka showed up in a stunning floral print saree. The macro prints stood out as she posed alongside Nick, who was dressed in a black outfit with colourful floral embroidery. The actress paired her saree with a sleek sleeveless blouse, dangler earrings and pink bangles. She also wore an emerald and diamond ring on her hand.
We can't forget her simple yet stunning outfit for Karwa Chauth last year. She wore a red saree with frill details over the drape.
Priyanka wore a breezy yellow Jamdani saree with a Chanderi pattern blouse of the same hue when she was conferred the Padma Shri.
Priyanka may have embraced experimental fashion but she has definitely not forgotten how to showcase herself in traditional Indian wear.Comments
