Deepika is all set to embrace motherhood for the first time. Entering motherhood for the first time can be challenging and overwhelming but simultaneously, it is also a beautiful experience. 1. Your schedule will be jam-packed

Having a baby involves physical, mental and emotional investment more than you've ever experienced before. Your schedule will be completely packed and your routine will change. You are with your infant at all hours; feeding, holding and changing them throughout. Support and equal involvement from your partner at this crucial time can play an important role in shape your relationship and that of yours with your child too.

2. Breastfeeding isn't always easy  

There's an expectation that breastfeeding should come naturally to moms and babies, but that's not the truth. The breastfeeding journey can cause roadblocks and stress along the way. It can be both complicated and painful. Be patient and give enough time to the process to ensure it is beneficial for you and your child.   

3. The mood-swings are frequent

Mood swings during pregnancy are considered very normal. These changes can be caused by physical stress, fatigue, hormones and changes in metabolism. One can consult with their doctor and talk to them about the mood swings. Also communicate to your partner about your moods so they are involved in your emotional journey too.

4. Postpartum blues are real

Postpartum depression is very common and most women go through the condition after giving birth. Having postpartum depression can translate to feeling upset, crying and snapping over the smallest things. Frequent doctor's visits post-delivery help, as they can offer you guidance and treatment as needed.   

5. Frequent urination is expected

Another symptom after birth you must prepare yourself for is the frequent urge to use the washroom. Bladder control problems happen for many reasons after pregnancy. But that shouldn't stop you from keeping yourself hydrated. Ensure you speak to your doctor for treatment to manage your condition.
