No one can play Wolverine better than Hugh Jackman and we saw that in the hit movie Deadpool & Wolverine. But what we did not know was the challenge that went on behind the screen to play the role of Wolverine. The actor revealed how he had to strictly follow a diet and fitness regime to get the ripped Wolverine body. In an exclusive chat with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the actor talked about how he consumed “6000 calories”. Jimmy joked about how Hugh must have boiled or steamed rocks to achieve the tough body. He also questioned whether he had to eat boiled or steamed vegetables for the role, to which Hugh said, “It's 6000 calories, and it's not the calories you necessarily want. You can get 6,000 calories. Like half a pizza is 6,000 calories. But no, this is chicken and it's tilapia and beans.” He further added, “I don't know why tilapia, it must be some fish that is lean and green beans.” Jimmy further wondered how Hugh continued his diet for an extended period to which the star replied, “It's worth it.”

The actor also shared a funny incident which he said he had never told anyone before. He said, “I haven't told this to anyone before, but we had this trike in the middle of it. And at the beginning of shooting, there's one particular scene, where I really wanted to focus on how I looked. And Shawn said where do you want to do that scene? And I said let's just put it to the end.” He then said how it struck him that he had to continue the diet for the next couple of months.
Well, hard work really pays off and Hugh Jackman's ripped body is proof.
