Paris Fashion Week 2023 took place recently and it's safe to say that the Schiaparelli show is the one that stole the spotlight. We're pretty sure you've seen it all over the news today about how very realistically sculpted animal heads were the key accessories that models showcased with monochrome looks as they sashayed down the runway. But there was another showstopper at the Schiaparelli fashion showcase and she wasn't on the catwalk. We're referring to none other than singer and artist Doja Cat, the voice behinds hits like 'Woman' and 'Kiss Me More'.
To attend the Paris Fashion Week 2023, Doja chose a look that almost had all eyes on her in the front row instead of on the runway. She wore a strapless red cocktail gown in a fiery shade of red and complemented it with knee-high boots in a matching colour. A sash was draped around her look which trailed her outfit. Doja also added in chunky crystal earrings. But her monochrome ensemble wasn't the reason she stole the show; it was her beauty choices.
Brought to life by Pat McGrath and termed 'Doja's Inferno', Doja was entirely covered in red body paint from her head to her hands and legs. But the sparkle factor came in from the red Swarovski crystals which were individually applied over every bare expanse of her skin; 30,000 crystals to be precise.
Path McGrath detailed in her caption, "Doja's sublime patience during the 4 hours and 58 minutes it took to create the look with #TeamPatMcGrath, which was covered in over 30,000 hand-applied @swarovski Crystals, was inspiring. The final product was a magical, mesmerising masterpiece of sparkling brilliance."
