In an interview, the celebrity revealed that she has perioral dermatitis and went on to say, "I have perioral dermatitis so certain products irritate my skin, giving me a horrible, itchy rash around my mouth and eyes."

While skin problems like acne, rashes and pigmentation are known by skincare enthusiasts, Hailey Bieber's might bring up a black. Perioral dermatitis is defined by small, red bumps and peeling skin around the mouth. It can also extend to skin around the eyes, nose and cheeks. Not much is known about why it occurs but fragrance and heavy formulas can often exacerbate it.
To prevent her skin from flaring up, Hailey shared the skincare tip she follows and said, "I always try to avoid fragrance in products as it is too much on the skin. However I don't always know what is being put on my skin because I work with a lot of different makeup artists."
Fragrance tends to be a feature which not many think twice about in skincare but can actually trigger skin terribly, especially those having sensitive skin. The scent of rose-scented mists and aromatic face washes may smell great but can irritate the skin. Hence it is best to steer clear of them if you find they are leaving your skin with rashes and breakouts.Comments
