For many, chocolate brownies are comfort food for dull days. Brownies are an easy way to cheer up ourselves when we're stressed, gloomy or celebratory. After the initial lockdown days of the pandemic, every person has become a chef in one way or the other, experimenting with the kitchen ingredients to make lip-smacking delicacies. Not only did these activities pass time, we managed to find healthy ways to make everything at home instead of relying on the food delivery apps. Making brownies or sweets can also be a therapeutic experience for a few. Plus, the outcome is heavenly too! Here is an easy recipe to make fluffy, eggless and scrumptious brownies without baking them.

1 cup or 175 grams of dark chocolate, chopped, or shaved
cup or 100-120 grams butter
200 grams caster sugarADVERTISEMENT
1 cup homemade yogurt
cup walnuts or preferred nutsADVERTISEMENT
3 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flourADVERTISEMENT
1 tablespoon baking powder
Melt the chocolate bar and butter together in a pan. Ensure that the flame is low. Once it gets heated, keep it aside to cool down.
In a bowl add the sugar and yogurt and mix it well. Add this mixture to the chocolate and butter once the mixture cooled and stir well.
Add flour, baking powder and cocoa and mix thoroughly.
Transfer the batter to a baking pan which is already aligned with parchment paper.
Add the chopped nuts and chocolate shavings to it and cover the pan with an aluminum foil.
For the cooking set up, take a large vessel and place a rack at the bottom. On the wire, place the baking pan and add about an inch of water to it and cover it with a lid.
Let it cook for around an hour on low to medium flame. After every 15 to 20 minutes check the water level and add water to the vessel if needed.
Remove the brownies carefully from the baking pan. After an hour or once cooked properly, let it settle for 5 to 10 minutes.
Refrigerate it in the fridge for over an hour
The delicious brownies are ready to be eaten.
This procedure is to make the classic chocolate brownies without baking or using the pressure cooker.
Tips For The No Bake Brownies
Use the ingredients as per the quantities stated. But add sugar, cocoa and nuts as per your individual preference.
Make sure that the baking pan is properly sealed with the aluminum foil to avoid chances of condensation.
Make sure to check the water levels every 15 minutes and keep refilling the water when needed as the water will evaporate and you do not want your brownies to burn and stick from the bottom. Be careful while checking the water of the steam that forms on the vessel.
You may feel like devouring the brownies as soon as they get cooked. But let them settle and refrigerate it for at least an hour to enjoy the perfect no-bake eggless brownies.
