Immunity has existed as long as our bodies but only recently has it come to the forefront. An important way to fight colds, coughs and infections this season and all through the year is the right diet. Ingredients like turmeric, garlic, leafy greens, ginger and more are necessary staples in a diet. Did you also know you could drink your way to better immunity too? Well, now you do. We spoke to Nutritionist Paramita Singh who demonstrated 2 healthy recipes to make shots at home which will boost the immunity. Now those are the kind of shots everyone should be guzzling this time of year!
Green Juice Shot
Regular green juice gets a zingy touch with the additions in this recipe which also make it a tasty drink.
Ingredients
8 - 10 mint leaves
Half of a medium size cucumber
Half inch of ginger

Half a medium size pear
ADVERTISEMENTHalf a lime Dash of Himalayan Pink salt (optional)
Method
Once your ingredients are thoroughly washed and their skins and stalks are removed, cut them into cubes which fit your mixer. Place the ingredients together, squeeze in the lime juice and blend until it forms a liquid. Strain the mixture if you prefer and pour in into a cup. Served freshly made and stir in salt.

Pink Juice Shot
Packed with anti-inflammatory turmeric and nutrient dense vegetables and fruits, you'll want to add this to your daily routine.
Ingredients
1 small beetroot
Half a medium size apple
Half a lime
Half teaspoon turmeric powder
Dash of Himalayan Pink salt (optional)
Method
Wash each of the ingredients, remove their skins and chop them to cube sizes. Put them in the mixer, squeeze in the lime juice and add in the turmeric powder. Blend until it forms a liquid, strain or pour directly into a glass and stir in salt before serving fresh.
