Wet shoes, drenched before you reach the office, common colds, these are some of the things that monsoon brings along for us. Hey, but no one is complaining. With the dip in the temperature and the pleasant weather, we are all too soaked in happiness to be complaining just yet. But Bombay is already halfway through its share of monsoon troubles, as only Bombay always is. But there are a few monsoon hacks that can make everyone's life easy, to be honest.
These are hacks and tricks that aim to make life marginally easy when you are dealing with torrential rains of the monsoon season. So nipple on some hot snacks and tea and read on.
Wet shoes? Wax em!
It is annoying when our sneakers and shoes get drenched from when we leave the house and reach the workplace. So take some candle wax and run it along the surface of your shoes to make them resist water. Post that, blow dry hot air to seal the deal.
Drenched wooden furniture? Oil it up

Take a paintbrush and polish hair oil (preferably not scented) all over your furniture to save it from moisture and termites, this will assure your furniture doesn't depreciate.
Stinking clothes?
Perfumes only go as far as to add a fragrance to your presence. To neutralise that wet stench, use vodka because it neutralises that smell and acts as an odour-eliminator. Cheaper the vodka, stronger the alcohol content, the better it works.

Ziplock bags
...to store all the valuables in your bag that might get permanently damaged by the rainwater. Your cables, hard drive, phone, electrics, cosmetics, whatever you think needs protection, use a ziplock bag to give it that.
A quick way to dry clothes?
Yes. With a blow dry or a hot iron, you can expedite the drying process for your clothes, something that takes a long time considering all the moisture in the air.

Frizzy hair?
While men can use hairspray or wax instead of soluble gel, girls can try using mayonnaise. That's right. It makes your hair look shiny and glossy. Just apply, blow-dry your hair after half hour and then rinse.
