Every season comes with its set of style trends and fashion must-dos. An integral part of these style tendencies is something we all have a favourite of - colour. Colours play an important role in the expression of the art that is fashion. No matter how much we may love monochrome and deem it as a classic combination, the truth is, there's really no fun without some colour. Colours can change one's appearance and the way one feels, more than one might realise. It's no wonder that for a season like summer, most people, including some of our favourite celebrities, opt for soothing pastel colours. What better way to beat the heat than with the clothes you wear? This summer, some of Bollywood's most stylish are opting for a soft, pastel colour that one can't really deny is perfect for the current weather. Lilac. Yes, lilac seems to be the colour of the season - and stars like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Manushi Chhillar are making that clear.
A few days ago, Alia Bhatt was seen attending the Navbharat awards wearing a lilac floor length, anarkali style suit. Alia's outfit was from none other than designer Manish Malhotra. Alia's lilac garment featured intricate gold gotta and thread work. She paired it with jhumkas from Satyani Fine Jewels.
Shraddha Kapoor attended the big Ambani engagement bash for Akash Ambani and his fiance Shloka Mehta, wearing a lilac lehenga from Koecsh by Kresha Bajaj. The Ek Tha Villain actress looked stunning in the outfit completed by jhumkas and a maang tika.
For a promotional event of her upcoming film Dhadak, Janhvi Kapoor opted for a lilac tunic and cape set from designer Ritika Mirchandani. Doesn't she look stunning - and absolutely summer ready?
Another celebrity to have joined the lilac bandwagon is none other than Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. Manushi wore a lilac jumpsuit with a lace insert from designer Shehla Khan for the Miss India 2018 after party.
