Lizzo may be an incredible musical talent with hits like Good As Hell and the ability to play the flute harmoniously. Yet, she continues to get body-shamed for her appearance. A tweet said, "How is Lizzo this fat when she's constantly moving this much on stage" while another one wrote, "If she's working with nutritionists they're probably showing her how to eat healthy and maintain her size". To this, Lizzo clapped back with multiple tweets addressing the unpleasant comments. Some of her replies were, "I'm not trying to be fat. I'm not trying to be smaller. I'm literally just trying to live and be healthy." Lizzo continued, "Being fat isn't my brand. My brand is 'feel good music'. I've always led w my talent." Seemingly disenchanted, Lizzo also mentioned in her tweets, "The love definitely do not outweigh the hate on social media."
While Lizzo's music was responsible for putting the spotlight on the artist several years ago, the focus then fell on her appearance and how she dressed inappropriately for her size in clothes, which would otherwise be celebrated if worn by someone thinner. Lizzo, however, hasn't ever backed down and whether it be about her appearance or hits, she claps back like thunder.Comments
