Just recently we saw Vaani Kapoor attempting and achieving an "almost" perfect headstand. And thanks to her, we have just the fitness inspiration we needed ahead of the long Indian festive season. Vaani shared an Instagram video where she was seen doing a headstand with the guidance and assistance of her trainer. She captioned it, "Almost." Here are a few tips on how to ace a perfect headstand-
- Use a wall to support but do not lean too far on it.
- Work with a Yoga expert, a professional or a trainer. The inverted pose may cause injuries to the head and neck so it is always advisable to practise under supervision.
- Try the headstand once you build good core strength. It will also help you hold the pose for longer.
- If you are a beginner at the headstand, try to place a few pillows, blankets or cushions around you so that even if you fall, you are likely to have a soft landing.
This is not the first time that Vaani Kapoor has given her fans a sneak peek of her workout sessions. She has regularly been uploading posts and videos of her workout sessions on her social media handle. Recently we saw her practising the headstand on a gym day under the guidance of her trainer.
